PROGRESS REPORT

Over the course of the week we have been working on our Fabrication environment and started completing the various elements that we set out to complete in our work outcome strategies. We met on Tuesday to combine what we have found and worked on over the weekend. Cameron and Alichia researched and sourced various models of chairs, benches, lights, artworks etc that need to be included within our Fabrication environment. Kenneth continued working on the internal floor space of the model. On numerous occasions we found that when we opened our Crysis file that all the models and textures we had imported would disappear. We’ve been struggling with getting this to work properly again and making sure all the links within folders line up correctly…we managed to fix the links to all the models we have imported but any textures we added refuse to link properly…at present we have yet to solve this problem.
Seeing as we couldn’t get the textures to work properly due to numerous errors that keep appearing, Cameron and Alichia continued working on creating and modelling the surrounding buildings as well as working on fixing the landscape of the harbour.
We originally planned on creating mountains in the backdrop of our environment but after carefully exploring new Google maps of the Bodø area we have realised that the mountains are not within the scope of our created environment, rather there seems to be row upon row of domestic buildings. We have decided to create these instead so as to make our environment as realistic as possible. Below are some images of what we have achieved during the week:

Kenneth: internal modelling of floors

Alichia: Google images of Bodø and terrain modelling in crisis

Cameron: researching, creating and modelling surrounding buildings
